# Our Roadmap

### **Phase 1: Foundation (Q4 2024 – Q2 2025)**

**Objective:** Build the protocol core and prove the concept.

* ✅ Whitepaper release & branding (@TheRoiLabs launch).
* Smart contract R\&D for **Onchain Asset Locking (OAL)**.
* Testnet deployment of lock/unlock mechanism.
* Internal wallet prototype to showcase security layer.
* Begin third-party **smart contract audits**.
* Seed fundraising & early community building.

### **Phase 2: Early Integration (Q3 – Q4 2025)**

**Objective:** Establish ROI Labs as a working security layer.

* Launch **Beta Mainnet** with ETH + USDC support.
* Release **Wallet SDK** for external developers.
* First wallet integration partnership (e.g., MetaMask fork or independent wallet).
* Deploy **rTokens (rETH, rUSDC)** for DeFi utility.
* Launch staking module for locked assets.
* Build partnerships with 2–3 DeFi protocols to accept rTokens.
* Public audits and bug bounty program.

### **Phase 3: Ecosystem Expansion (Q1 – Q2 2026)**

**Objective:** Grow adoption and showcase utility.

* Multi-wallet adoption (5+ wallet integrations).
* Add support for more ERC-20 tokens and stablecoins.
* Deploy **borrowing & lending layer** (users borrow stablecoins against locked assets).
* Introduce **ROI Token ($ROI)** with governance + utility.
* Transition protocol governance to **ROI DAO**.
* Cross-chain deployment (Polygon, Arbitrum, BSC).
* Institutional pilot programs (custody + treasury protection).

### **Phase 4: Institutional & Mass Adoption (Q3 – Q4 2026)**

**Objective:** Establish ROI Labs as the **default security layer** in Web3.

* Strategic partnerships with top-tier wallets (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet).
* Expand to non-EVM chains (Solana, Cosmos, Bitcoin layer-2s).
* DAO-led governance fully operational.
* Institutional custody integrations for exchanges, funds, and DAOs.
* Marketing & education campaigns for retail adoption (“Import-Proof Wallets”).
* Introduce **premium enterprise features** (multi-sig guardians, treasury locks).

### **Phase 5: Global Standardization (2027+)**

**Objective:** ROI Labs becomes the **universal third security layer**.

* Widespread integration across 50+ wallets.
* rTokens accepted across major DeFi protocols as standard collateral.
* Partnerships with Layer-2s, Layer-1s, and cross-chain bridges.
* Compliance-ready institutional custody layer (for banks, governments, large enterprises).
* ROI Labs positioned as the **security backbone for Web3 wallets worldwide**.

* **2027+** = Standardize + Dominate.
